About Us
A vegetable connoisseur and a kimchi artisan with 40 years of experience started out with a shop of just 1 tsubo (1.5 square metres) and became very popular by word of mouth until there was a queue of customers at the Kawasaki speciality kimchi shop, Otsukimono Kei. The kimchi, with its unique Japanese flavour, has evolved independently in Kawasaki's multicultural culinary culture and has been selected as one of the 'Kawasaki Specialties' and the '100 Best Products of Kanagawa', and is often featured on TV and in magazines.
