Experience the Essence of Japan.
Goldfish are a classic ornamental fish in Japan. With a history of approximately 600 years in the country, during the Edo period, they were enjoyed by placing them in glass spheres known as "kingyū-dama" and hanging them under eaves. This was not only for enjoyment but also believed to help cool down the surroundings when observed from below. Additionally, goldfish have been widely featured as subjects in ukiyo-e (woodblock prints) and Japanese paintings.
Our company is dedicated to creating works primarily based on papercraft to help you discover and appreciate Japanese culture.
We do not use printed or colored paper because we want you to enjoy the shading of the work as it is plain, with a design that looks as if it has popped out of a picture frame.
You may also add your own colors and embellishments.
To make the crafting process as accessible as possible, we pre-cut the components and include guidelines for easy folding. We hope you can hang these pieces on your walls or in your space and take delight in experiencing a little bit of Japanese culture. It would be our honor!
