Our Story
Speaking of tea, Maebashi Yamatoen is a tea specialty store founded in 1914.
Yamatoen has been operating as a tea specialty store in Tatemachi, Maebashi since 1913, when its founder, Tosaburo Okabe, who was the head clerk at Yamamotoyama in Nihonbashi, became independent and established the store.
From the beginning, we have consistently inherited the strict discerning eye of our predecessors and have produced tea using a blending technique called Go, which has made this tea a favorite drink of tea connoisseurs, including locals and tea aficionados alike.
