"Sakura," representing Japan's spring and beauty, is a symbol of the season. Yamagata Prefecture boasts numerous beautiful cherry blossom viewing spots. Born from the request of customers for a "spring pasta," Sakura Pasta is a macaroni shaped like beautiful cherry blossoms, a unique creation that can only be made here in Yamagata. This technology was developed as part of the recovery efforts after the Great East Japan Earthquake. It allows anyone to easily enjoy the cherry blossom viewing experience right on their plate and has been used annually at hotels in Tokyo.

The word "Sakura" consists of "sa" meaning deity and "kura" meaning seat or place. Enjoying cherry blossoms underneath them is a part of Japanese culture and culinary tradition, and this product visually conveys that to people from overseas.

It is perfect for the cherry blossom season.

I guess the problem is that if you boil it too much, it loses its color.

Pretty Cute Pasta!

It looks lovely, of course, and makes food fun to eat. I feel the season by adding them to my regular salads and grilled dishes. I thought the boiling time might be a little longer.
