A long-lasting kawara aroma stone

Roof tiles protect the home.
Incorporating tiles as a material into your daily life.

Japan has four seasons, and the Japanese people have made efforts to make their homes comfortable in all seasons.
Among these, tiles have been passed down as the most suitable roofing material.
During the rainy season and summer, the roof tiles' shape increases ventilation, allowing moisture and heat to escape. In winter, the tiles, which are made of earth, have a heat-retaining effect. The tiles also have excellent water and moisture absorption properties, preventing condensation in the attic and protecting the roof structure.

~In order to preserve this traditional Japanese culture of "kawara" which has been declining in recent years, a young female oni-shi created this product by utilizing her spatula technique for making oni-gawara tiles and the appeal of the tile material~

The tile aroma stone was created with a focus on water absorption, allowing you to enjoy the change in scent and color, and to develop a long-lasting scent. The matte texture of the tile and the calm shine of the oxidized silver blend in with any space.

The cosmos-shaped aroma stone is perfect for decorating your entrance or room. The moment you drip the aroma oil onto it is as beautiful as dewdrops on a flower. The time it takes for the aroma to soak in creates a moment of relaxation, as if you were feeling the history that has been woven into it. (*This product does not contain aroma oil.)

About Nagasawa Kawara.

We are a company that has been constructing roof tiles in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture for 53 years. Shimizu tiles once flourished as a local industry in the Shimizu region of Shizuoka Prefecture, but the heavy rains of 1974 brought a slow end to the industry. We love this traditional local industry and have revived it as Shimizu tiles using modern technology. In order to weave the broken history and pass on the fascinating industry of our hometown to the next generation, we are actively working to create a connection between tiles and their culture. Nagasawa Tile Shop focuses on the matte texture of tiles and the appeal of oxidized silver that matches any occasion, and manufactures and sells a variety of tile accessories. In particular, the aroma stones, which were created with a focus on water absorption, are characterized by their beautiful shapes created by the spatula techniques of oni tile craftsmen.
