This unique dashi soup combines two delicious, high-quality ingredients: aromatic “Oita Prefecture dried shiitake mushroom powder” and flavorful “Japanese scallop extract.” The shiitake mushroom powder, sourced from a specialized shiitake store in Oita, brings out a rich aroma and depth of flavor when mixed with hot water. Just a teaspoon (approximately 2g) of this product is enough to create a delightful soup with 150-200 ml of water, meaning one bag can make around 30 cups of soup (you can adjust the strength to your taste).

How to Use & Recommended Cooking Methods:
This soup base is incredibly versatile and easy to use. Simply dissolve in hot water to enjoy a savory, rich soup in the morning or evening. It can also enhance the flavor of traditional Japanese dishes such as miso soup, simmered vegetables, clear soups, hot pots, oden, and chawanmushi (steamed egg custard). For noodle dishes like udon, soba, ramen, or pasta, it adds a subtle, umami-rich flavor. It’s also a great seasoning for various Western, Japanese, and Chinese dishes—just sprinkle it directly onto your food to bring out a deeper taste.
