Beschreibung
"Maruchan Akai Kitsune" instant udon has been a long-selling product in Japan for more than 40 years.
Maruchan Akai Kitsune is a cup of udon noodles in a flavorful broth made from dried bonito flakes and kelp, topped with large pieces of fried tofu soaked in seasoning for a firm texture.
The blend of two types of dried bonito flakes, one with a gorgeous flavor and the other with a strong and impactful aroma, produces a dashi flavor that is as powerful as the noodles.
The broth made by the combination of the broth and the other seasonings enhances the taste of the fried tofu.
The big sweet fried tofu are irresistible.
The udon noodles are flat and curly, and are delicious and chunky and slippery.
It has a gentle, light flavor and is recommended as an emergency food.
It is good for lunch at home or at work, when you are hungry, or as an evening meal.
It is a classic cup noodle that has been loved in Japan for a long time.
History of the "Red Kitsune" product
Cup Kitsune Udon, the predecessor to Akai Kitsune, was created in 1975.
Instant kitsune udon in a cup was an industry first. At the time, there were very few Japanese-style cup noodles, and it became a big hit.
While competing products continued to be launched, a new brand called "Akai Kitsune" was created in 1978.
Akai Kitsune grew into a long-selling brand.
The red kitsune then evolved into a more and more popular product in Japan, with the taste of the sauce changing depending on the region where it was sold, and the flavor of the dashi being improved while selling products tied to the festivals of each region.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2018, Akai Kitsune is a long-selling product loved in Japan.
